Friends of Westcroft

Erica Mesedahl (8th Generation) and Denise de Beausset (7th Generation)

Denise de Beausset
President, 7th Generation

Raised all around the world, Westcroft was always her home, and she decided to make it her permanent home in the early 1980s.  Denise took over from her grandfather, Ernie Stanton, and his acting manager, and was instrumental in making Westcroft what it is today.  She has been certified as a Master Gardener and Nurseryman, and with her 30+ years of experience, is an expert in her field.  Her extensive knowledge of plants, gardening, and Michigan soils make her vital to ensuring that every customer has access to the knowledge they need to have a successful landscape.

Erica Lee Mesedahl
Manager, 8th Generation

Erica is the 8th generation of the Macomb family to work the farm.  Although raised in Connecticut, she moved to Michigan in 2006 and has been with the farm since then.  Now the manager, she is working on completing certifications as a Master Gardener, Conservation Steward, Green Industry Professional, Nurseryman, and Garden Retailer.  Her passions about the environment, sustainability, and gardening have joined harmoniously and made her very knowledgeable about how every individual can make their own yard an asset not only to the owner, but to the environment as well.
