Friends of Westcroft

We would like to extend our most sincere thanks and appreciation to Friends of Westcroft, a group of volunteers that help to maintain the botanical gardens.  Two years ago, long time Grosse Ile resident, Pam Frucci, realized the toll the economy was taking on our ability to keep the gardens in top shape and offered to help.  She created Friends of Westcroft to organize residents to volunteer their time every 1st Saturday of the month to weed, prune, and clean the gardens.  Word of her endeavors spread, and before long we had volunteers coming whenever they had the time and energy, some as often as two to three times a week!

Without every one of these volunteers we would not be able to handle the overhead of the garden maintenance and the entire de Beausset family has you all in their hearts.  We thank you for everything you have done for us in helping to preserve this beautiful showcase and the history it holds, not only for our family, but for Grosse Ile and all of Michigan.

Friends of Westcroft T-Shirts are available for sale in the office.
